*Please note that the class descriptions and ages are meant to be a guideline for your child's placement. Please understand that a student may not be best suited for a particular class based on their age but by their level and/or experience. The teachers and director have final say on scheduling.

Virginia State Open Swing Dance Championships  November 18-21, 2010 in the Washington DC area.  This event has been going for over 20 years and this year gets a fresh new look.  Gone are the competitions that take away from social dance time.  The emphasis on this event is to make "You the Star".  VSO this year will feature competitions only for Pro Am and WSDC Jack & Jill.  That's it.  The rest of the time you can take workshops or just dance, dance, dance.  What's not to like?  VSO will feature West Coast Swing, Hustle, and Salsa.  Don't forget that the DC area is widely known as the hottest social dance community in the east so lots of dancers will be there to party!  For information go to www.VSOswing.com   Event Director: Barry Durand.

                      6th Annual New York Hustle Congress   Over view  

Even Hurricane Earl couldn't disappoint the dancers at this years NY Hustle Congress.  The weekend was non stop fun and excitement. The weekend shined bright as Lori Brizzi introduced us to a new hotel, a new look and the best staff, dancers and friends that all attended.  The Labor Day event got off to an early start with a pre party on Thursday night. Then....a big surprise on Friday,  a special dance show was performed to a standing room, as Roberto Pagan's New York Express and Paradesio Dance (featuring David & Zoe Klein) performed. The team challenge did not disappoint as Lisa Nunziella's Originators went to battle with Donna Desimone's Dance Xchange, Donna Boyle's Philadelphia Freedom and Roberto Pagan's Banga Langa, which won supreme.  Smitty took charge locking up dancers for multiple violations on the dance floor. Officer Smitty had the room in stitches as he scourned dancers for wearing to revealing clothes and kissing on the dance floor.  The action continued late and carried over to Saturday as world dance champion Lisa Nunziella launched her new book "Breathe, Focus, Balance."
